Spring Break of Sorts
It’s been a long winter and I’m ready for the break that I hope warmer temps and sunshine will provide. I’ll start writing again sometime soon, but until then here’s what I’ll be working on.
I really enjoy writing this Substack and the challenge it provides. The creative outlet as well. I also love to hear from so many of you who have reached out to provide support and thanks along the way, or to tell me that what I’ve shared has been impactful in some way.
What I’m realizing though is that the season I’m in is quickly accelerating, and the time I normally spend reflecting and being creative has been replaced with just trying to “fit it all in” and I find myself writing more for the sake of delivering content to you, than writing as a means of thinking through challenges, goals, wins, and ideas, and that begins to feel hollow quickly.
To that end I’m going to take a bit of a Spring Break for the next month or two and really focus in on a few things I’ve been thinking about and a few books that have shown up but remain untouched. I’m also going to get a lot of good “thinking time” on the bike as soon as those morning temps get above 40!
Things may look a little different when I come back - different structure and possibly a different cadence - but I will double back down on writing here to share insights into what’s inspiring me in hopes it may do the same for you.
Also, if you have thoughts or ideas that you want to send my way, please drop them in the comments below!
